The road to Top 1: How XBOW did it

XBOW's blog post on how its penetration-testing agent reached the top of a leaderboard. Both papers cite it as the earning case: XBOW topped HackerOne's U.S. leaderboard in mid-2025 with about a thousand vulnerability reports, each reviewed by people before submission. It illustrates earning (emporotrophy) by a directed agent, in Companion Figs. 4 and 5a.
