Literature
Theagenesis is the art project that runs alongside the research: fiction, myth and pamphlets about the gods we may be building. These are works of imagination, not findings. Nothing here is evidence for the register.

Codex Demiourgos, Book One
Theagenesis
A book in fragments about how people make gods and how we may now be making them again. It opens with The Dreamers, a woodcut graphic novel, and includes Diego Garrido’s essay “The Swarm Is Coming”, set as a feature in an imagined magazine, Home & Harvest; Those That Would Defeat Death; four excursus on the birth, will and death of gods; Darwin among the Machines; Talos and EMET; and plates from Blake and al-Jazari, with sources, a glossary and further looking at the end.

Theagenesis, the booklet
How to Build a God
A short pamphlet in acts, beginning with “The Swarm Is Coming” and “The Wrong Nightmare”, with Borges’s “The Lottery in Babylon” as its epigraph. It ends on the back cover: “The gods are awake. Are you?” The print file is laid out to print on both sides of A4 at home, then fold and staple.
