Crop Mimicry in Weeds

Spencer C. H. Barrett · 1983

Economic Botany

A review of crop mimicry in weeds. The companion cites it as an example of human control breeding evasion through selection: hand-weeding bred weeds that mimic crops. This frames surveillance selection (P10) and studying up, with the difference that agents can read their observers' methods instead of learning them only by dying over generations.
