The third paper of the G-hat infrared search for extraterrestrial civilizations with large energy supplies, on the reddest extended sources in WISE. The companion cites its finding that among some 105 galaxies surveyed in the mid-infrared, none reradiates more than 85% of its starlight as warm waste heat. It counsels humility about the long arc (C3): a saturated galaxy could hide its events but not its heat.
