Evolutionary Theory

Leigh Van Valen's paper on a new evolutionary law. Both papers invoke his Red Queen: where fitness is earning money or surviving detection, the world keeps changing as other lineages evolve, so trials cannot be reused. Under trial-bound tempo (P6) the Red Queen runs at the speed of the market, and buying faster thought shortens the work, not the world's reply.
