A Nature paper on how body size and temperature set developmental time. Both papers cite it for the point that in biology development time, and with it generation time, rises with body size and, loosely, with complexity. Trial-bound tempo (P6) breaks this link: designed lineages decouple generation time from complexity, and evaluation, not development, bounds their tempo.
